Ed Statham gave more information on the question: There's clearly something wrong with my attempted configuration. Here's one of the entries from this configuration file: /opt/graphite/conf/storage-schemas.conf [stats] pattern = ^stats\. # retentions = 10s:1h, 1m:7d, 15m:30d, 1h:2y retentions = 30m:3y I had tried with the retentions as specified in the commented out line above - this does not work. The current retention settings above does work.
