I think that when clusters are rewritten, you will be able to set
global 'constants' by making a cluster out of a number component and
instancing it around the definition (you change one cluster and all
will change accordingly). But I don't think this will work with
variables. I have also missed from time to time some sort of
"wireless" transfer of information between components when working on
a large definition.
