I believe I have solved the Boolean Diff problem by using a ScaleNU to
scale to X and Y of the section plane by 1.1, to make sure it is a
little larger. It seems to Boolean fine and leave a clean underwater
section at any level. I'm cleaning some stuff up and will post an
updated file sometime soon.
