Hi, I've been interested in this as well, specifically modeling urban growth with genetic algorithms. I'm currently looking into using programs similar to NetLogo (multi-agent modeling) to produce a matrix of data that I can then import into grasshopper from excel, since I'm doing some data-heavy modeling and I don't think gh can support it well.
I don't know if it will work, but I will share information as I learn about the process -- mary On Feb 24, 4:00 am, jonm <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > We didn't do this in GrassHopper, but it was done in Rhino using > DotNET programming. > > It's a underground station canopy roof, where a genetic algorithm has > been used to determine the solution for a mult-objective design > process.http://www.expedition.uk.com/main.php?pid=141shows the principles, if > you click on the green project info link on the right hand edge, there > is a video link showing the transformations from evolution to > evolution. > > Might be of interest, even though it wasn't done within Grasshopper. > > Cheers, > > Jon > > On Feb 24, 2:51 am, littlegentleman <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of any examples in GH using > > genetic algorithms.
