I think just today I was noticing the same strange behavior with a
cull pattern, but I thought it was just me.

I don't know that I can help you, other than to say create a new cull
pattern component for each instance (don't copy paste existing ones
from the canvas).

I'm going to see if I can reproduce the problem from what I was
working on.
