Hi Alan,

there's no "reason" as such. It's just the way it's designed. This
behaviour is not set in stone, we may well change it in upcoming
versions.

For now, what you have to remember is that whenever *multiple* output
values are the result of a *single* input value, there will be an
additional dimension to the output path.
