Wow grasshopper is not only the best thing since sliced bread I'm pretty sure it is in fact a reincarnation of sliced bread itself.
I'm very certain that this is an incredibly dumb question so thanks in advanced for your patience, I'm trying to figure out how in general to think about grouping/merging algotihm components in general for the purposes of them performing xforms on these modules. I'm more acccustomed to the world of classes and for loops still. I was wondering if someone might be able to shed some light on this simple example hoping it might help me thing about some other grouping challenges using merge etc? So I developed a very simple RhinoScript which produces the following results: http://williamroberttaylor.com/help/grasshopper/grouping-test/rs-grouping-test-script-result.jpg As a test I'm trying to build something similar in grasshopper and this is the simple module: http://williamroberttaylor.com/help/grasshopper/grouping-test/gh-grouping-test-result-a.jpg This is the composite module spun around the axis (the "circle group spins" parameter at more than 1): http://williamroberttaylor.com/help/grasshopper/grouping-test/gh-grouping-test-result-b.jpg I'm using the merge function but I'm wondering if I need to utilize the data tree funtions? (I'm using 0.6.0012) I've included the Grasshopper screenshot and file below. http://williamroberttaylor.com/help/grasshopper/grouping-test/gh-grouping-test-screenshot.jpg http://williamroberttaylor.com/help/grasshopper/grouping-test/gh-grouping-test.ghx Thanks so much! b
