ah that's great.....I think I've gone through so many config file changes I 
missed both of those settings being wrong.  Thanks for your help.

I still can't connect to the website by name for some reason, even though 
if I try and curl to it from the server itself it all works fine.  I'm not 
sure what is wrong there as it works fine from my desktop by IP address, 
but I'll continue to look at it.
