P.Geeta and Pavithran's lengthy article (report) on Nandigram published by the Matrubhumi weekly reflects not only the extreme insensitivity and dearth of imagination of the authors in respect of the newly emerging battlefronts of real struggles everywhere in this country, but it also betrays a preference by popular Mal magazines toward flirtation with life and death struggles of poor, rather than bringing to focus any stuff for thought. Anivar's suggestion for taking the important findings of the Peoples' Tribunal on Nandigram to the Malayalam readership is welcome, and I wish to offer to translate the report or at at least a portion of it, as a humble gesture in support of your proposal.
