Dear Dileep
Just read your article, but what I want to respond to is something lelse.
The Coimbatore meeting just being over - i think it is time we ruminate over
this. One is glad to hear of dissension within the CPIM circles and pressure
to look at the Chengara issue. One also needs to remember that with all its
patrairchal overtones - CPIM is one of the few poltical party based
infrastructures in this country that encourage dissent actively where they
are not in power - TN my home state is the best example
There was an earlier post by Murali poking neo-liberal jokes at Cuba - Cuba
is definitely not my ideal state, nor is the United States, India or China.
Similarly CPIM or the communist parties world wide are not my political
ideals - they are definitively arrogantly dogmatic - but that is no reason
to create a stereotype that would make GPRs of the world shut up. I'd rather
like to see how GPR would respond to your article in deshabhimani rather
than presume that CPM = GPR or vice versa
I repeat with my earlier caveat, I am here trying to get educated about
poltics in Kerala
