Friends, A close look at the recent developments at Chengara exposes the weknesse of the adversaries despite the brutality. The local situation where a 'mass psychology' prevails among the so called plantation workers/goons which result in vandalism beyong the control of anybody.The state and CPIM also seem to be caught in tight corner as they see no way out even after mobilising mass in Ernakulam.
I feel we should do whatever is planned in organised and most effective manner now.All the intiatives ( considering the fact that we are not cadres but just unorganised citizens ) till now have been very effective. On 23rd, the plan in Kerala is to concentrate in ensuring participation of as many people as possible in the sit in before secretariate . Solidarity commmitee will announce the plans in a press meet tomorrow. Posters are being printed. The moves in Delhi will surely help in highlighting the situation . Though these are small steps, added to the impact of non violent struggle by hundreds of activists for one year, there is every possibility that some results will be reached.
