[Quite an exhaustive and, reasonbly, balanced - considering the fact that
it's being aired from within the territory of one of the two feuding
sides, scan of the Balakot air strikes.

The reasonable inferences:

I. *No one is ready to own up the figure of "300" (dead) or any whatever.*
They deny even the possibility of ascertaining it, right at this point of
time.
Maybe later, through various other intelligence channels.
In fact, it turns out that *even the IAF has refused to own it up*.
II. On the existence of camps, broad agreement is there that, at least,
there were.
III. Whether any of the campus has/have been hit.
No one nods in the affirmative.
There're divergent opinions on whether through satellite imageries this can
be ascertained and whether the Indian government has failed to prove its
case.
IV. It has sent a political message to Pakistan and Indian public.

As far as the last one is concerned, there can be hardly any controversy.
In fact, one'd argue that this was the precise purpose, at the grave risk
of triggering an apocalypse.

The issue is what this message is.
And, how effective?

As far as Pakistan is concerned, it almost immediately hit back, with some
tangible success - one MIG downed and one pilot captured.

As far as the Indian people are concerned, right at this moment, a large
majority would just gulp down whatever is dished out by those in authority.
However, things may not remain just static.
