Yes, sorry, that was probably my fault. A call to updmap fixed it.
Since the Mac package installs fonts only by running install.py, the
only map files regenerated are the system-wide ones at
/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-var/ (through updmap-sys). Teresa also
had her own map files, under ~/.texlive2008/texmf-var/, which take
precedence and did not have the gregorio maps added. So running updmap
as the normal user fixed the map files list. I should probably add
that.

A FAQ page sounds like a good idea, actually...

As Teresa mentioned, I did write a couple of engines for TeXShop (a
TeX editor distributed with MacTeX) to make typesetting with
gregorio/GregorioTeX easier -- they allow typesetting through a button
press, and then TeXShop opens its own terminal and pdf viewer, so
everything is only done under one program. I don't normally use
TeXShop, but they seem to work ok. The engines themselves are very
simple (like 2 line shell scripts) and are only useful to OS X
users... should I put them in the svn under the macosx folder, or
under the main contrib one?
