Hallo Luís Henrique,
you have been right! Thank you - I would say it works now, at least this step
(gabc to tex)!

But unfortunately the next steps don't work as they should.
I will post the problem in a few minutes, reading first the other answers.

fr Anselm

  Hi brother Anselm,

I can't check, now, exactly what your problem could be, but I have some hints.

It seems that you compiled your gregorio for your linux machine; if
so, this should be the most recent gregorio someone could work with. I
think the windows version is somewhat older than your compiled one.
Have you installed gregoion on Windows from a installation program?
What I have noticed, while also using different systems -- different
debians and windows --, is that some things don't work in the same
way, because of distinct source files (so I guess). On some linuxes I
had some problems, and later I noticed the reason: some instructions
in the gabc code where not valid, I just had to comment them in order
to generate the correct scores. If I recall correctly, the "centering
scheme" didn't work, for instance.
As the unrecognized characters in your case form the work "book",
try to locate that in the gabc "preamble" -- perhaps the name of a
font or style? -- and comment (%) that line, and see if this works.

   Good luck!
