Elie,
I have a certain "schema" that I am using where I put the *
in red as well as any annotations that go within the text,
such as "Ps. 50" or "ij". I also like to make the initial a
different colour. Sometimes I make the staff red, sometimes
black. I also like to make the annotations red and also the
commentary at the upper right corner.

Dear all,
With current svn version, bad things might happen if the LaTeX macro
\color{} is used in a bad way. For example
\color{red}redtext\color{black}
will output an incorrect pdf file, but worse of all, if used in a
gregorio score with current svn, it will probably fail to compile. See

I'm about to make gabc understand colors, but before that, I need to
figure out how it will be used, so here is the main question:
How do you use colors in your scores? Just in the text? for neumes too?
How many colors do you use? Just red or others?
My first idea was just to create a markup <red>, but if colors other
than red are used, but only one color, then <c> might be enough... but
if several colors are used in a score, then maybe <c>, <c2>, etc. or
<c:red>, <c:blue>, etc. The last solution is the most difficult to
implement, hence the questions...
Thank you,
