Had the conversation been as technical about the internals as it got 
from the beginning, then the developer list would have been the 
appropriate place to start it.  However, the conversation grew naturally 
out of something much more general that was of user interest.  It's my 
opinion that once the conversation starts on one list, no matter where 
it goes, it should stay on that list.  This makes it easier to follow 
and doesn't leave anyone hanging.
