What makes Frescobaldi so great is it's extraordinary support of one *Lilypond's* feature which gregorio, as long as I know, doesn't have - so called "point-and-click": Lilypond by default renders various shapes (notes, slurs, ...) as active links to respective locations in the source code. Frescobaldi makes it possible to navigate in the source by clicking in the rendered score, to highlight notes corresponding to the selected parts of the source code etc.
