Hi, I teach a course in econometrics in which the students are required to use Gretl. I've been using Gretl for several years with no problems. But this semester, several students have complained that Gretl would either crash when they used the script editor or it wouldn't load. These students are using a MacBook Pro, at least one of which is a new computer. For the crashing, they said that they just typed the letter g (when trying to enter the command genr) and Gretl immediately closed; the menu option to create a variable worked fine. For the loading issue, some found that only a terminal program loaded; they were unable to load Gretl that looked like the Gretl demoed in class.
Are there any issues with Gretl for MacBook Pros I should know about? The downloads were for the newest version. Thanks, Walt _____________________________ Walter R.
