Thanks.  It's completely useless, of course, because I've forgotten to
tell you to compile groff with debugging informations.

Please compile groff like this:

  ./configure CFLAGS="-g -O0" CXXFLAGS="-g -O0" LDFLAGS="-g"
  make

and redo the backtrace.
