Thanks for the reminder.

I support adoption and would encourage others to do the same.

I often describe BMP as "the firehose of all of your BGP sent through the 
drinking straw of a single TCP session".  A consequence of unfiltered feeds is 
that any applications that have need of timeliness or a lower incidence of 
state compression from the BGP RIB views can have latency issues or simply miss 
important events.  Such considerations are absolutely operator and 
deployment-scenario specific.

Today, nothing stops an implementation from providing filtering mechanisms.  I 
rather encourage them!  However, without an extension like the one in this 
draft it becomes difficult for a BMP consumer to distinguish whether it is 
properly getting the configured subset of the feed or not.  This is doubly true 
if a given BMP consumer is taking more than one feed with different filtering 
attributes from the same router.

BMP transport over multiple QUIC streams would also significantly benefit from 
such a feature.
