Dear All I have Growl latest by April, 30 version installed, but it does not work almost at all. The only message it can show is the preview message with different skins. That's all. It detected several applications (all totally useless ones), but it behaves like a stone on the bottom of the ocean. I installed GrowlMail from Extras, but thanks to it Mail quits after the launch in approximately 5 seconds. This is absolutely stable. So I have to turn it off. I tried to reinstall it, but it is not that easy even to remove it! Basically the application Uninstall Growl asks me, I quote: " Where is GrowlHelper?", "Where is GrowlMenu?". Man! I want to remove everything concerning Growl, and it is asking.. Moreover: I saw the name of the process and location of the binary via ActivityMonitor, but when I tried to locate them for the Uninstaller, the folders in /Library/ Framework/... where invisible (ok, I managed to see them) and inaccessible, and that's a deal.
So, asking for the magic then. 1. How to remove it properly? 2. How all this should work and why? 3. How to install it properly and enable it for Mail application (ok, I'll check this with file uploaded in this group) and, the main: How to make it working with IntelliJ IDEA.
