Hi all, I have growl 1.1.6 installed on Mac mini and Macbook. I have an apple script that sends growl notifications, it works fine locally on both macs, I've switched on the option to send notifications over the network, and it works when the macbook does an alert, it sends it to the mac mini, so the notification pops up on both, but I really need to do it the other way around, what appears to be happening is the mac mini does its local notification, the macbook is recieving it, as I hear the ping sound I switched on, but no popup, and it appears to have crashed as when I then attempt to do a local growl on the macbook, it doesn't work any more, and gives this error:
234:409: execution error: GrowlHelperApp got an error: AppleEvent timed out. (-1712) restarting the macbook fixes it again, until another network notification comes in. I have tried removing growl from both macs, and reinstalling it, also tried the latest beta on both macs. The applescript itself, is nothing special, just the example I found on the growl site. Any ideas? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
