Based on your recommendation - I unistalled - check the two location - nothing there for Growl. Reinstalled - Growl available on System Pref - clicking on it - as before - leads to a blank page. Growl appears in Library/PreferencePanes - NOTHING with the Growl name in Library/Preferences.
