I'm using Growl 1.1.6 (recently updated from 1.1.4) on Tiger 10.4.11 on an old PowerMac G4 (which isn't supported under Leopard). Ever since the update I've noticed that the Growl menu does not show up until I bring up System Preferences and choose the Growl panel. Then I notice the Start button quickly switch from Start to Stop. I have Start Growl at Login checked, as well as the checkbox for showing the Growl menu icon. I've checked my account settings, and GrowlHelperApp is in there.
