I've never had this problem before. Has anyone on the list seen this behavior?

Bear in mind I'm not going to accept having a ticket filed against
this since you're on 10.6.5 and we haven't tested yet. We'll keep it
in mind, but you know the warnings the gave from editing the uuid
lines.
