It should, but then we—and all other subscribers to the list—get flooded with
spam.

All of these are just settings files. They are not software.

(Well, unless you installed any Growl plug-ins in the Application
Support/Growl/Plug-Ins folder—but you would have done that knowingly. Even
then, those plug-ins won't do anything without Growl installed.)

We're not “hiding” anything. Those are the usual places to store those settings
files.

You found everything.

Our programs:

- Growl: The Growl Uninstaller uninstalls this program and it alone.
Specifically, it deletes the Growl prefpane and everything in it.
- GrowlMail: The GrowlMail Uninstaller uninstalls this program (plug-in) and it
alone. Specifically, it deletes the GrowlMail plug-in.
- GrowlSafari: No uninstaller, but it's just an application, so you can delete
it by moving it to the Trash and emptying the Trash.
- GrowlTunes: No uninstaller, but it's just an application.
- HardwareGrowler: No uninstaller, but it's just an application.

Neither of our uninstallers deletes settings files. This is purposeful, as it's
sometimes necessary to uninstall and reinstall Growl to fix some problem (e.g.,
multiple copies of Growl installed), and it would suck if you lost all your
Growl settings doing that.

Settings are user data. We will not casually delete user data.

We'd discussed an option to do that here on the list, but never actually wrote
it in our ticket tracker. That was a mistake, nothing more. I've now filed it:

        http://code.google.com/p/growl/issues/detail?id=182

So we will add such an option at some point.
