You are not right Josh. After I removed Growl 1.2 and installed 1.3, Skype was in App List and was annoying me with its status messages as well even if I disabled it. So I removed Skype from the list and do not get any new messages as well as not able to get Skype back into the list.
Actualy the same problem with Adium: even if I disable Adium in App List it still shows all the status change notifications (even if Growl is turned off).
