Thanks, Chris, for the pointer to the Rollup prefs. I'm just getting started with the new Growl, after years of experience with Growl "Lite" (Growl the Younger?).
I just changed my Rollup prefs from "Rollup all notes" to "Rollup only logged notes." That solves my original concern, but ... Now I see that the new app "Enable Logging" option is not the same as the former app "Enable" option.
