So, I took the hook and paid for the Growl 1.4 upgrade right after upgrading to 10.81. from 10.6.8.
However, in System Preferences, the Growl preference pane still shows Growl 1.2.2 installed. Not only that, I cannot reinstall by re-downloading Growl 1.4 from the App Store.
