I posted a ticket with Sparrow on 29 Aug (with the same initial response), 
and still heard nothing (sent a nudge today). I get the feeling that they 
are concentrating on Google's agenda, rather than supporting their own 
software.

Anyone else stumbling across this discussion with the same problem should 
raise a support request (FWIW)
