I might be mistaken but here are pictures to clarify what I'm talking about.
When I enabled in my Twitter app to use Growl notifications these are the notifications I receive: <http://i.imgur.com/Qa779Sw.png> I loaded a theme into Growl and realized I had to turn off forwarding to NC in order for the theme to take effect. This is that theme: <http://i.imgur.com/l6CUUUm.png> The problem is now they don't go to NC as expected. So if I understand correctly you're saying that the notifications in the first picture have nothing to do with Growl and are provided by OS X? They do look different than the default OS X notifications for Mail, Messaging, etc so I wasn't sure.
