Firefox does have support for Growl, I have it installed and it works,
just look in the apps centre and you will find it, as for the other apps
I dont use them, so cant tell you if I can get them to work or not. Hope

Microsoft isn't going to support Growl directly.
I was probably testing something out with yummy a long time ago, I
haven't tried it in a while. Their website features Growl, it would be
a good idea to contact them to ask how to enable
support. http://www.yummysoftware.com/features/growlsupport for the
webpage about Growl for instance.
