I'd say you had a very important item there. I'd say it's one of the
most important items in any mobile device. So if there is not interest
in it in this forum, I'd see it as a sign of vitality of OpenMoko.
Harald Welte wrote half an year ago that he don't want to get another
smart phone out of OpenMoko but rather some kind of toy for Linux geeks
- after half an year negligible progress I think he was right.
I'm working in mobile phone industry and I could do something about it
but I get enough from hard work day, there are other things in the life too.
OpenMoko was very brilliant idea in the beginning and hopefully it will
come to reality. I just wouldn't bet on it anymore

Well, that was interesting. Not much response, so I take it that this
isn't a particularly important item for most people.
I'll just drop this then; my proposed solution didn't get any good
reviews first time around, and based on the lack of interest, I don't
see any real point in re-opening that controversy. However, when
openmoko gets around to resolving this problem, I'll be interested to
see how the "official" solution is implemented. Until then, keep
those Neos plugged in!
