Dear Gstat users,
My intention is to use variogram information to predict forest stand
attributes. To do that I need to get the sample variograms (and
possibly
the variogram model parameters) from every stand from an aerial
photograph. The aerial photo is in the Arc/Info grid format and the
stand
boundaries are in an Arc/Info coverage. Now I have two questions:
1) When I tried to read the boundaries from a tiny area into Gstat, I
got
the following message
Warning: cannot read 7 integers from `ARC 2
'
What went wrong? My command file looks like this:
#
# gstat command file, Sparc version 2.3.0 (01 December 2000)
# Thu Jan 18 16:06:02 2001
#
data(c1): 'koeg.txt';
variogram(c1): 1047.61 Sph(5.41943);
set fit = 1;
edges: 'koe.e00';
and the boundary file begins like this:
EXP 0 /DATA6/ANTTILA/KOE.E00
ARC 2
1 619 424 424 1 2 4
3.5018355E+06 6.9378395E+06 3.5018555E+06 6.9378400E+06
3.5018335E+06 6.9378190E+06 3.5018355E+06 6.9378395E+06
-1 0 0 0 0 0 0 CNT
2
0 3.5018730E+06 6.9378305E+06
...
2) Is my approach right at all, in other words is it possible to
calculate all the variograms at the same time using these data with
Gstat?
I would be really grateful of any piece of advice, suggestions and
comments.
Best regards,
Perttu
