the "Read only file system" error means there is something wrong
with the /tmp disk on your system. the operating system has
set it to read-only.

Try

touch /tmp/foo

You probably will not be able to do that either.
You need to contact your system admin and get the /tmp disk fixed.

Hi all,

my credential was expired, and i use the command: myproxy-logon -s localhost to request a new credential, usually this works very well, which means i receive a new credential immidiatelly in /tmp/x509up_u1001. But today, it doesn't work any more, and the error message is:

Failed to receive credentials.
open(/tmp/x509up_u1001) failed: File exists

but when i run globusrun-ws -c -submit /bin/date, i get the following message:

Submitting job...Failed.
globus_credential: Error with credential: The proxy credential: /tmp/x509up_u100 1 with subject: /O=Grid/OU=GlobusTest/OU=simpleCA-graz.cgv.tugraz.at/OU=cgv. tugraz.at/CN=Xueming Pan/CN=1071000508
    expired 9289 minutes ago.

so, what's going on here? Should i remove the expired credential manually, and run myproxy-logon once more? I've tried this way, but i got another error message:

rm: cannot remove `x509up_u1001': Read-only file system

I have no idea how to deal with such situation, can someone help me? I'll be very appreciate for any kind of suggestions.:-)

best wishes,

Peter
