To me this change sounds as reasonable as compiling all of Gtk+ as C++.
in the end, the w32 compilers are C99 compliant i'd assume and on
None of the win32 compilers I use (msvc 6.0 - 7.1, OpenWatcom latest)
is C99 compliant.
older unixes when there're no modern compilers available, there's
always a C99 compliant gcc that can be used.
Is there *any other* compiler than GCC being C99 compliant ?
