I assume you have read my posts about my idea for a core/gui seperation? This is the way I will be heading soon. I hope someone can pick it up and make the GUIs work again when the seperation is complete.I don't think anyone was waiting on me but since I said I was going to look into this I should say: I did a lot of poking around and, although I learned a lot more about the codebase, the core/gui separation is over my head at this point. I do think that the work that's been done so far is totally going to make the job easier. Once something is more established I can/will totally plug in.
There is one 'problem' I am facing, I will also move the gui and the core each in a seperate directory. The side effects are that the history of the files will be lost, I don't really like that. Also I hope metaconfig will give me no problems when it comes to compiling multiple directories.
