Umm, I'm talking about the query hits delivered from my servent to other
servents. And I'm talking of my uploads. When fewer peers get search
results from my host, fewer will decide to get a file from me, which
results in a lower upload utilization on my side.

I'm running as a leaf node.
I'm sharing a bit more that 1000 files.
Almost all of my files are rare on the network, and the demand has never
been very high. So my upload slots are almost never fully utilized.
This is now even much more true since the change I'm talking about.
I'm not seeing many stalled uploads, at least not more than before. When
an upload starts, it usually completes fast and successfully. I'm not
getting a 'stalling' warning and almost all of my 'normalized' stats
are exactly 1.000 (since I'm the only source for most files I'm
sharing).

So uploading itself is not the problem. It must instead be an
informational problem, my files being less effectively advertised than
before. Since my servent is indeed sending fewer QHits than before,
this seems to be the reason. And why am I sending fewer QHits? I guess
because I'm receiving fewer search queries in the first place (although
I haven't measured this last point).
