Quoting Haxe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> from ml.softs.gtk-gnutella.devel: :So uploading itself is not the problem. It must instead be an :informational problem, my files being less effectively advertised than :before. Since my servent is indeed sending fewer QHits than before, :this seems to be the reason. And why am I sending fewer QHits? I guess :because I'm receiving fewer search queries in the first place (although :I haven't measured this last point).
Oh, OK. I misread / misunderstood what you said. So, as a leaf node, you're getting less queries. What are your ultra peers? LimeWire? Other gtk-gnutella? BearShare? What's the size of your QRP table (look into the Config/Upload tab)? Flee from gtk-gnutella 0.94 ultra peers. Those are BAD ultrapeers since they don't understand high outdegree, and have too few connections. They're a plage to the modern network where TTL=4, because they don't widespread the queries far enough. Hopefully, 0.94 will expire very soon now despite it being less than 1 year old because of a mistake I made (and I'm glad I did, retrospectively!). Turn on detailed statistics for the node connections, and watch how many queries you're getting from the ultra peers in "Query(RX=)" and look at how many hits you're sending in "Qhit(TX=)". Don't forget the UDP node! Try to better qualify the problem than just "quality seriously dropped" because if there is a problem, we need to understand where it is and so far I have no clue at all. Also, this is too late to hope for a "fix" in 0.95, even if you spot the problem. This will be in 0.96, assuming you can qualify the problem accurately enough for me to determine where's the bug and how to fix it, if a bug there is.
