I had problems before when using CVS. It is possible that a simple "cvs update; make" would not work. Did you try "make clean" first. Rename your .config file and try to reconfigure. You shouldn't have to perform these steps, but in reality it is always difficult to have a perfect build environment. Also, sometimes I have had corruptions in "~/.gtk-gnutella". You rename this directory and restart. Probably people would be interested to know if this solves your problem. Files in the old "~/.gtk-gnutella" might be interesting to see... but I doubt this is your problem. fwiw, I am using GTK2 and GTKG with ICEwm and I don't have problems [I have not updated since Sunday]. One thing I found with KDE was it uses more resources. If you have a slow machine with limited memory, KDE might be too much to run with GTKG. I can not run as an Ultra-node unless I run ICEwm.
