Another problem in configuring gtk+-2.6.7 is:

gnome-config: not found
configure: error: Xft Pango backend is required for x11 target

So I went to download xft-2.1.2.tar.gz, and tried to compile it. "./configure"
has no problem. But "make" led to errors:
