Yeah I was kind of thinking the same while editing...
I do think it is good to have some kind of info or readme file
in the top of the darcs repo though.  Maybe individual packages should
also have README files explaining deps/requirements, etc?
But this is also something that can be polished later IMHO.
Once the packages are on hackage we will get more feedback
and questions from users I guess.

Yeah, we could certainly have the info on the website too.

Right cabal users would not see it currently, and they would
just see missing dev libs from cabal if not installed I guess.
