I have test your patch with demo code in bug #1202. When i enable "-threaded" flag, memory consumption stable at 8MB, but the memory increase to 293MB after i disable "-threaded" flag. Axel, any trick? I also use your wrapNewGObject replace all *IO Pixbuf* functions and test my image viewer (http://www.flickr.com/photos/48809...@n02/5063946143/lightbox/) After i do many *IO Pixbuf* operation (zoom, rotate, create new pixbuf), memory release after old pixbuf not use anymore. I think your solution is right, just need figure out why it can't work when disable "-thread" flag.
