I need to create a proposal to send to AMSOIL to get a quote on creating the
air filters. Something that would be VERY helpfull is if somebody had an
old filter that they can use as a template. If somebody has one, I would be
greatly in their debt if they could mail it to me. Other facts:

1) There is no minimum on the number of filters they will make for an order.
However, the smaller the number, the higher the cost.

2) AMSOIL filters are made by AMSOIL, not K & N. They have their own plant.

3) I tried to get some info on oil filters. We previously thought that they
were made on contract by Hastings. However, I have some conflicting info
that they are made by Baldwin. The tech support guy was not quite sure, but
he thinks that the contract to build their filters was moved to Baldwin.
They ARE unique designs, and use a specific construction and filter elements
unique to that line.

Here's the info from a previous message Jon.

I remember paying $37 each a couple years ago for the GTS air filters.
Because the GTS uses 2 filters in the airbox this would cost me $74!!!! Well
maybe Yamaha has had a change of heart because my local Yamaha shop is
listing these at $27 retail. I just got a quote from
http://www.parkeryamaha.com at $21.95 each!! Any other experiences? $21.95
is a damn good price me thinks!
