A lot of questions, Harley. If you get all the answers, does this mean you're
giving hefty discounts to the GTSers on this list?
(Well, obviously to ride a GTS you'll require a sense of humor.)

Anyway, you'll find few quirks for such an oddball bike. As for the taller
shield, you won't have much luck finding a Givi. I've been looking for two
years and haven't found one yet. (Anybody got one? First dibs!) The Zero
Gravity isn't any taller and I haven't actually seen one on a GTS.

Bags? I use RKA soft bags and I'm happy. I also added a Givi tail rack and
trunk when that's not enough and I want to lock something up. The Givi side
bags do stick out a bunch. Once in a while you can find the OE Krausers here
or from Europe, although they are a bit pricey and look like small
refrigerators.

Tires? That's a long thread. You'll get a variety of opinion there but most
high-end sport or sport-touring compound radials seem to have their advocates.

The pricing you said sounds about right, depending upon mileage, condition,
accessories. You work at a dealership, so you should be able to get a handle
on that one.

There are a few of us in So. Cal. so if you want to hook up for a ride, that
might be a good time to shoot the breeze regarding the GTS.

If the front brake lever feels funny, that could be the signal of a problem.
Look into it before purchase. ABS systems fail, but it seems Yamaha is fixing
them out of warranty for now, a good thing since it would cost $2,000.

Good luck with the GTS.
