I don't know much about the various eval-when options, but removing :compile-toplevel and :load-toplevel in a snippet fixes the problem in slynk - and the require wasn't needed because asdf already sets up that kind of dependency loading. I'm not sure if that'll also be the case here but it's probably worth giving a try. Hoping that helps, -- Andy
