To be honest, Either I subscribe to many Codeberg things and then I cannot easily deal with all the volume of notifications so I overlook most; Either I don’t subscribe and there is almost no chance that I randomly hit the relevant issue. For example this one. Somehow, I pay the bill that I announced when discussing the switch. :-) Before, although the volume of guix-patches was high, I was able to run a personal triage by dedicating some hours per week to process all bug-guix and most of guix-patches and so I was able to have an overview about what was going on. Today, all is under my radar. Look, I know nothing about the next release; blaming no one, to the contrary, shame on me! Why do I lag behind? For many reasons, some unrelated with the project, but for sure the current communication tools ask me too much cognitive overhead. Anyway, the hard life of a grey hair in an evolving world. ;-) I’m super grateful for all the people who are able to cope and do the effective work! > Perhaps we need a group of people appointed as overseers of GCDs and > of the GCD process to reduce dilution of responsibility? Yes, I agree. I think we need a GCD editor team. In the initial version, the idea was to have Co-Authors and Sponsors that help in crossing the final line. But that does not run as smooth as the initial was expecting. Well, adjustment was expected, BTW! :-) Somehow, the plan should be: 1. GCD for amending GCD 2. GCD for clarifying what means Team The issue isn’t to find the well-named Yaka Faucon but to find their companion Al del Bacío Tiempo. ;-) On the other hand, we should celebrate the distance we covered this year! Setup GCD, Discuss five, Switch to a new platform, Release soon with a clarified process, Launch a donation campaign, etc. Bah all this blabla does not cook the rice… Cheers, simon
