with the move to Codeberg, my impression is that much of the traffic on guix-devel has instead moved there. So I find it reasonable to expect team members to read this mailing list. Creating yet another one will probably create confusion as to which communication should go to which of the lists (guix-devel-important and guix-devel-chat?). > 3. I do not know Zulip. What I would find important is that we try to not splinter our communication channels in the sense that some people are here, some are there, and in the end it becomes unclear who discusses what and where. You mention integration with email, does this work both ways? Everything on Zulip ends up on a mailing list and vice versa? (Many tools I know, including Forgejo, use email for notification, but one still needs to connect to the web instance to react.) I am not in favour of outsourcing our communication channels to what looks like an American company, and do not wish to create an account on such a platform. This would mean we would have to self-host. Can we package it in Guix and create a service? Inside the server source code, I find a file pnmp.lock with over 20000 lines, so I am afraid the answer will be "no"... Or alternatively, is there a community hoster like Codeberg for Forgejo?
