Holy Family Choir's Silver Jubilee Celebrations
 
 
The Holy Family Choir is all set to celebrate their SILVER JUBILEE by organizing their annual Parents' Day Musical Programme on Thursday, 6th October 2005 at the Holy Family Cathedral - Church Hall, Kuwait City.   The programme will commence at 7:15 p.m. sharp.
 
To mark their 25 years of praise and workshop services, all choir members are geared up to make this event a memorable one, and are putting in their best efforts to dish out a variety programme with a rib-tickling comedy skit.   All parishioners are cordially invited.

The Stations of the Cross line the extreme aisles of the Holy Family Cathedral. The series tells the story of Christ’s passion and crucifixion. The detailed embossing and rich brass finish are a work of considerable artistic merit. Each heavily accented plaque is mounted on irregular-shaped marble inscribed with a Cross and a Roman Numeral depicting the Station.

The image of the Frescoes in the Apse has been reconstructed from a series of photographs taken from different angles as it was next to impossible to obtain one complete picture of the frescoes. The image is a replica to the extent possible ... however, there exist minor differences in the shape, colour and general outline of the painting. O Blessed Trinity, we thank You for having gifted the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care, the glory of the Cross of Christ, and the splendour of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him. Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with You. Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen.
