Bandra Feast at Majan on Sept. 15

MUSCAT — Majan Continental Hotel is celebrating Bandra Feast on September 15 in its ballroom from 8pm onwards. The sponsors of this event are African & Eastern LLC & Indian Airlines. Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount celebrated a 101 years this year. The concept of the feast is derived from a week-long festival held in the month of September in Mumbai. This festival features fun fair, including lots of games, musical shows, joy rides, food stalls, various competitions and a huge dance arena called ‘September Garden’ where the latest top music bands around town and from the filmy Bollywood personalities perform and are a big attraction for those who stroll along this gala fete. Adding to this fun and festivity here in Muscat, Majan Hotel has invited the famous band Human Touch to play popular English and Indian masaala songs with an East Indian mix. The dance floor has a facelift with psychedelic lights and flickers to give the rockers a rambling effect. The buffet set-up is typical a la Bandra style with (candlelit tables) consisting of Bandstand – Tosser, Supari Talao – Fish Ambot-tik, Beef McRonells, Lucky’s — Roti/Paratha, Bazaar Road — Prawns Pulao, Mount Mary’s — Pudding, Chimbai Village — Vindaloo, Pali Hill —Chicken etc. The main attraction of this event is the entrance raffle draw, with an airline return ticket from Muscat to any destination in India on Indian Airlines to be won, besides other spot gifts and novelty dance.
